Terms & Conditions

Terms for research-material orders.

1. Research-use condition

Every order is conditional on compliance with the NOVA Labs Research Use Policy. Materials are supplied solely for lawful laboratory and analytical research and not for human or veterinary administration, consumption, diagnosis, treatment or therapeutic use.

2. Order creation and post-order compliance review

An order is created immediately when checkout is successfully submitted and payment may be made without waiting for manual pre-approval. NOVA Labs may nevertheless conduct a compliance review before fulfilment. We may request reasonable clarification or supporting information where needed to assess the purchaser, organisation or stated research purpose.

We may cancel an order before fulfilment where there are serious grounds to do so, including where the stated research purpose is prohibited or materially unclear, information supplied is materially false or incomplete, or fulfilment creates a legal, regulatory, safety or security concern. If cleared payment has already been received for an order cancelled by NOVA Labs on those grounds, the applicable payment will be returned using an appropriate refund method. This clause does not remove any mandatory consumer or other statutory rights.

3. Purchaser and organisation declarations

By placing an order, the purchaser confirms that the information supplied is accurate, that they are authorised to place the order for the stated organisation or research activity, that the materials will be used only for a lawful permitted research purpose, and that appropriate facilities, competence and controls are available for receipt, storage and handling. Reasonable supporting information may be requested after the order is created and before fulfilment.

4. Product and batch information

Product names, specifications and research groupings identify catalogue materials only. Any certificate or analytical report applies only to the stated batch. Supplier-provided documents and independent third-party reports are identified by source where published. A certificate of analysis is not a Safety Data Sheet and does not establish suitability for human or veterinary use.

5. Safety information

The purchaser is responsible for reviewing the applicable label and safety documentation before handling a material and for using appropriate laboratory controls. Where an SDS is required for a supplied material, the applicable SDS should be obtained and followed. See Safety & SDS information.

6. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise. Available payment methods include bank transfer and direct cryptocurrency transfer in the assets and networks presented at checkout. Bank transfers must use the unique order reference. Crypto payments must use the exact receiving address, asset, network and quoted amount generated for that specific order.

Crypto quotes are time-limited because exchange rates can move. If a quote expires before payment is sent, the purchaser should generate a new quote. The customer must submit the on-chain transaction ID after sending. A crypto payment is not treated as confirmed for the order until NOVA Labs has verified the transaction, destination, asset, amount and settlement status on-chain. Screenshots alone are not proof of settlement.

Cryptocurrency exchange-rate movements, blockchain network fees and wallet-provider charges are the purchaser's responsibility. Sending an unsupported asset, using the wrong blockchain network or sending to an address other than the one displayed for the selected network may result in irreversible loss. NOVA Labs will never ask for a seed phrase, private key or wallet recovery phrase.

Payment does not prevent NOVA Labs from carrying out a post-order compliance review or from cancelling and refunding an order on the serious grounds described in section 2. Where a crypto refund is due, refund handling may require a verified destination address or other reasonable checks to reduce fraud and misdirection risk.

7. Shipping, cancellations and returns

Shipping, cancellation and return arrangements are described in our Shipping Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy and model cancellation form. Nothing in these terms removes consumer or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. No medical or veterinary advice

NOVA Labs does not provide medical, veterinary, diagnostic or therapeutic advice. Catalogue content, product names, research groupings, specifications, documents and support correspondence must not be interpreted as instructions or recommendations for administration or treatment.

9. Refusal and account restrictions

We may refuse future orders or restrict an account where we reasonably believe a purchaser has breached the Research Use Policy, provided materially misleading information, attempted to acquire materials for a prohibited purpose, or created a legal, regulatory, security or safety concern.

10. Privacy and browser storage

Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Necessary browser storage and any optional technologies are described in the Cookie & Storage Notice.
